We now serve patients from a vast region of 8 mountain counties across Western North Carolina and North Georgia, bringing advanced digestive services to the greater Blue Ridge region. Job Title: Full-Time Gastroenterologist (BC/BE)
Location: Franklin, North Carolina
Schedule: 3–4 procedure days / week + flexible clinic hours (Monday – Friday)
Call: Optional elective call at regional hospital
 Job Type: Full-time, partnership-track if desired

Description

• Perform 12+ diagnostic and therapeutic upper & lower GI endoscopy daily (EGD, colonoscopy; ERCP welcomed - performed at hospital).
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad range of GI and hepatobiliary disorders in clinic and ASC settings.
• Prescribe medications, biologics, and evidence-based treatment regimens; document in gGastro®.
• Direct the patient-care activities of GI nurses, techs, and support staff; uphold AAAHC, CMS, and GIQuIC quality metrics.
• Collaborate with NPs on quality-improvement projects and community colon-cancer-screening outreach.
• Teach and mentor students and new providers; medical-director track available before or by Year 3 if desired.

Requirements

• MD / DO with completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology.
• North Carolina medical license (or ability to obtain) and active DEA registration.
• BLS and ACLS for moderate sedation (course reimbursed if needed).
• Proficiency in core GI procedures; advanced endoscopy skills a plus.
• Commitment to patient-centered, team-based care and continuous quality improvement.
