Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our ERCP Gastroenterologist, you will be a vital member of our specialized GI team, delivering advanced endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) procedures to significantly improve patient care and outcomes. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to utilize your highly specialized skills within a supportive physician-led organization, focused on providing high-value, accessible care to our community.
Each shift you will perform a comprehensive range of diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP procedures, including ERCP with Spyglass cholangioscopy, lithotripsy, papillectomy (ampullectomy), Sphincter of Oddi dilation, sphincterotomy, and stone removal. You will operate at or above customary practice standards, adhering rigorously to the ethical guidelines of the American Medical Association and relevant specialty boards, ensuring the highest quality of care for complex pancreatic and biliary conditions.
To be successful in this advanced role, you will be a board-certified or board-eligible Gastroenterologist, holding core gastroenterology privileges. You must demonstrate successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited program including a minimum of 200 ERCP procedures, with documented performance of at least 25 ERCPs (including a minimum of 10 sphincterotomies and 5 stent placements) in the past 12 months.
- Delivers High-Quality Patient Care and Documentation: Physicians provide superior ambulatory care, conducting examinations, services, and maintaining meticulous medical records in accordance with all policies, including those for managed care, Medicare, and Medicaid.
- Adheres to Regulatory and Ethical Standards: Physicians strictly comply with all federal and state reimbursement plans, the ethical and religious directives of sponsoring entities, and the Hospital's comprehensive policies, procedures, and medical staff bylaws, rules, and regulations.
- Engages in Quality Improvement and Peer Review: Physicians actively participate in clinical and quality improvement initiatives, contribute to physician peer review, utilization review, and serve on medical staff committees as assigned to enhance overall service delivery.
- Contributes to Operational Excellence and Professional Growth: Physicians advise on operational matters, including personnel, business oversight, and equipment evaluation, while maintaining professional competence through continuous medical education and board certification, staying abreast of the latest medical developments.
Your dedication will be highly rewarded with a $750,000 guaranteed base salary (plus RVU incentive pay), a $56,048 sign-on bonus, $15,000 relocation assistance, $30,000 student loan repayment, CME funds, flexible time away, and a generous 401(k) with match.
