This is a clinical practice position with the addition of bedside teaching within a collaborative environment. Everyday you will provide expert clinical care in general endocrinology, with opportunities to cultivate subspecialty interests in areas like diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, and metabolic bone disorders. You will actively collaborate with a diverse multidisciplinary team, including nurses, primary care providers, surgeons, and other specialists, to ensure high quality comprehensive patient care. Beyond direct patient interaction, this role involves engaging in program development and quality improvement efforts, and participating in varied academic activities such as bedside teaching, lectures, and conferences, with academic appointment available commensurate with experience.

Leveraging existing referral patterns, a new physician can quickly establish a thriving practice while also helping drive programmatic expansion, particularly in developing comprehensive diabetes education. In this elevated capacity, the Endocrinologist will partner closely with clinic and organizational leadership to optimize key metrics, spearhead quality improvement and safety protocols, and champion the implementation of organizational initiatives, leaving a profound impact on patient care and clinic performance.
- 1.0 FTE: 36 patient contact hours per week.
- Great mix of outpatient general endocrinology and inpatient consults.
- Call responsibility 8 weeks per year assisted by internal medicine residents and endocrinology fellows.
- Anticipated volume 15 patients per full clinic day.
- Full clinical support staff, including a dietician and on-site Certified Diabetes Educators (CDE).
- Fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC)
We are offering a guaranteed two-year base salary, a starting bonus, and relocation assistance for new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.
Job Requirements
Required
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution
- American Board Certified in Internal Medicine
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism
- Active or Eligible to obtain an unrestricted license in Nebraska
- DEA in good standing with no restrictions
- BLS
- A record of excellence in clinical care, education, and/or research
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care
Preferred
- Two plus years of Endocrinologist experience
